Saucy, Outspoken and Always Sexy Fran Drescher Returns for a Second Season of Fun, Flirting and Fabulous Fashions The Nanny: The Complete Second Season Available May 2 in a Three-Disc DVD Set Culver City, CA (February 20, 2006) - The flashy girl from Flushing Queens returns for more riotous culture clashes when The Nanny: The Complete Second Season debuts on DVD May 2. Starring two-time Emmy(r)-nominee Fran Drescher (TV's "Living with Fran," The Beautician and the Beast) as the blue collar, nasal-voiced nanny who turns a blue-blooded household upside down, the three-disc set containing all 26 episodes will be available for $39.95 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The Nanny: The Complete Second Season finds Fran Fine (Drescher) firmly entrenched in the family, where her often infuriating but always enchanting antics continue to wreak havoc for her boss Maxwell Sheffield (Charles Shaughnessy) and his three children (Nicholle Tom, Benjamin Salisbury, Madeline Zima). Fran's partners-in-hijinks [often against Maxwell's obsessive girl Friday C.C. Babcock (Lauren Lane)] include the Sheffield's butler Niles (Daniel Davis), her mother Sylvia (Renee Taylor), her Grandma Yetta (Ann Morgan Guilbert), and her best friend Val (Rachel Chagall). The Nanny premiered in November 1993 as a late addition to CBS's fall lineup and was dubbed by many as a '90s version of "I Love Lucy." The show quickly became a hit, airing for six successful seasons. The Nanny was nominated for 12 Emmys, winning in the second season for Best Costume Design. Drescher was also nominated for two Best Actress Emmys and two Golden Globes(r) during the course of the show's run. In addition to the entertaining cast, there were guest appearances by numerous celebrities in the second season, including columnist Liz Smith, Tyne Daly (TV's "Judging Amy," "Cagney & Lacey"), Bob Barker (TV's "The Price Is Right"), Sally Jesse Raphael (TV's "Sally"), Erik Estrada (TV's "CHiPs"), dancer Ben Vereen, Corbin Bernsen (TV's "LA Law"), Wallace Shawn (The Incredibles, The Princess Bride), country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, ventriloquist Shari Lewis, Efram Zimbalist, Jr. (TV's "77 Sunset Strip") and former President Clinton's brother Roger.
